Welcome to Alice Springs Holidays
Intimate Travel Experiences in the Red Centre
Central Australia is the quintessential Australian places that has to be experienced to be appreciated. Outback Australia is renowned for its wide open spaces, natural landscapes and vibrant colours.
To truly enjoy “The Outback” there can be no better way than to...
"...get off the beaten track in a 4WD and enjoy a more intimate and judicious exploration of the region’s landscapes, its people and its cultures..."
At Alice Springs Holidays we have designed a premium touring programme to take full advantage of all of these features and more. By combining small group touring with the expert knowledge and country hospitality of our local guides, luxury 4WD expedition vehicles, gourmet foods and fine wines, and the comfort and convenience of the best accommodation available, you will become immersed in a world of experiences few people encounter.
The Red Centre, a place like no other
Our most popular tour is the Spirit of Adventure programme with 5 days of varied and interesting activities. For instance, you will enjoy a variety of experiences from true four wheel driving into Palm Valley, a unique and exquisite eco system hidden deep in the Krichauff Ranges.
On another day a beautiful and relaxing day of short walks changing mountain scenery and abundant wildlife amongst the West MacDonnell Ranges.
Or one of the ultimate highlights, the vast open spaces of the plains country around Uluru (Ayers Rock) where the horizon is a true 180 degrees apart and “flat” takes on a whole new meaning.
All our touring programmes start in Alice Springs, with most able to finish at Ayers Rock.
There are many reasons for this but the strongest and most compelling are:
- The experiences should build toward the highlight (which in Central Australia is Uluru) with the highlight being last not first.
- We strongly believe the journey is as important as the destination – which means the activities and events experienced along the way are the foundations on which the highlight sits. Giving a deeper and more meaningful appreciation of the highlight, the climax of the holiday – Uluru
- Our itineraries are designed to enter Central Australia through Alice Springs and exit through Ayers Rock, taking full advantage of the time available with a forward moving itinerary without wasting time backtracking along the highways.
