Alice Springs Desert Park • Day 1
Upon
your arrival into Alice Springs you will be met by an Alice Springs
Holidays representative who will introduce you to Alice Springs and
your itinerary for the next 6 days, while enroute to your
accommodation. Following check in you will be transferred to the Alice
Springs Desert Park. Here, be introduced at your own pace to the many
interesting facets of some of the world’s oldest deserts. The
informative film depicts the evolution of Central Australia - an apt
introduction to the many displays representing some 70% of the
Australian mainland. Stroll through the 3 major desert habitats,
complete with walk through aviaries. The Desert Park is home to the
world’s largest nocturnal house and breeding programmes for many
endangered species of the Australian bush. Be enthralled by the free
flying raptor display’s aerial supremacy and on ground antics
at Nature’s Theatre. Overnight: Lasseters Hotel Deluxe Alice Springs (or similar)
Gosse Bluff/Mereenie • Day 2
As
we head due west avoiding the hustle and crowds of the main highway,
our outback adventure begins with a first hand insight into Aboriginal
culture at Wallace Rockhole. Venture into the spirited land of the
Western Arrentte people and you are exposed to an expansive living
cultural landscape in the company of only a few others. Whether you
spend your time learning of the ancient cultures of traditional owners,
or exploring the stunning flora and fauna with expert guides, face to
face with this irresistible land, your senses come alive. Further on,
we navigate the track into the comet impact crater called Gosse Bluff
to enjoy a picnic lunch beneath the torn battlements of this 140
million yo. phenomena. After our leisurely lunch we venture by outback
dirt road into the Mereenie Wilderness Area before arriving late
afternoon at the foot of George Gill Range.

Kings Canyon/Uluru • Day 3
Your guide will introduce you to the many
wonders and options of the Kings Canyon area.
For the energetic a climb to the rim
encompassing vast horizons and unusual
sandstone formations. Alternatively experience
at close quarters the flora and fauna of the most
bio diverse park in the region on the Canyon
floor. Enroute to Uluru enjoy a picnic lunch in the
Australian Outback. This afternoon visit the
Uluru Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre before
exploring the base of Uluru, inspiring and yet
intimidating by it’s very size. Feel the ambience
of the world’s largest monolith; it’s rock art,
shapes and colours. Enjoy a champagne sunset
of tantalising Australian cuisine and sparkling
wine overlooking Uluru.

Kata Tjuta • Day 4
Rise early this morning to catch the first rays of
light on Kata Tjuta (The Olgas). A chance to
escape the crowds, and enjoy the peace and
quiet as the day dawns. Explore on foot with
your guide, learning the fascinating story of this
intriguing formation before returning to the resort
for and being transferred to Longitude 131 for
the next 2 nights.
